  𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐃, 𝐌𝐁𝐂𝐡𝐁, 𝐌𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥, 𝐌𝐒𝐜, 𝐅𝐑𝐂𝐒, 𝐑𝐂𝐏𝐒 is a Professor of 𝐏𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 and Consultant at 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘴 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭. He is 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘮𝘢 𝘈𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘕𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬. His area of expertise is 𝐏𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲. He has a strong interest in 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and his alter ego "ffolliet" is 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝-𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 travelling the world explaining the concepts of better presentations.

  Paediatric surgery is a broad field that deals with both 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥 and 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 and its disorders. Children's bodies develop quickly, but adult bodies slowly alter as they age. Each stage of development has its own milestones and disorders, and Prof. Fischer will break down barriers about 𝐩𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 and 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐚.

  𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐃, 𝐏𝐡𝐃 is the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 of Médecins Sans Frontières and a faculty member of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Having specialised in 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 in the Surgical and Transplant Unit of Evangelismos Hospital in Athens and having been 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 a fellowship from the European Board of Surgery in 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, he took his drive to save lives where he believed it would make most of a difference - to Médecins Sans Frontières.

  His immense efforts 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 reflect in his extensive activity within Médecins Sans Frontières, which he joined in 2002, having served several roles up to now, including emergency and trauma surgeon, general secretary, vice-president, president of MSF Greece's Board of Directors and finally, since June 2019, International President of Médecins Sans Frontières.
